Indoor navigation systems require reliable real-time obstacle detection while preserving privacy and enabling practical deployment. This paper introduces a deployable thermal-based sensing system for obstacle detection in indoor navigation, targeting robust operation with reduced privacy concerns compared to camera-based approaches.
